Who we are

When you pre-register as a Founding Member

Our lawful basis is your consent. We do not store your IP address with your registration, and we never sell or rent your details.

When you try Cal on the website

Ask Cal and Snap your plate. Your question or photo is sent to our AI provider to produce the answer, then discarded. We do not save it or link it to you.
Talk to Cal live. Calls are handled by our voice provider, ElevenLabs. Your microphone is only used while a call is open.
Daily limits. To keep the free previews fair, your IP address is held in memory for up to a day to count uses. It is not written to any database.
On your device. The site keeps small notes in your browser, such as how many free questions you have used and any invite code you arrived with. You can clear them in your browser settings.

Who helps us

We use these providers to run the site, under contracts that limit what they can do with your data: Render (hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database), our email delivery service [provider], our AI model provider [provider] and ElevenLabs (voice). Some may process data outside the UK, in which case we rely on the UK's approved safeguards.

How long we keep it

Until 12 months after launch, unless you become a member, in which case your registration becomes part of your account. If you unsubscribe we stop emailing you straight away, and your Founding Member place stays saved for launch. Ask us at any time and we will delete your registration completely.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails. Email support@gravitas8.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
